Yup, we're in the South. First meal of the trip, and all breakfast orders included a side of grits......and a side of butter came with my omelette. Is that for the toast, you ask? Nope, because that's already buttered.
You have to eat at Mother's Restaurant while you are there. Ooo, and grab a muffaletta at Central Grocery and eat it on the bank of the Mississippi. And be sure to be at Pat O'Brien's drinking a hurricane at sunset. My other favorites are Court of Two Sisters (very romantic), One (http://one-sl.com/ - insider tip and waaaayy off the beaten track, so do it if you have a car), and Palace Cafe. But seeing as New Orleans is all about good food you will have a delicious meal no matter where you go. Enjoy!

By the way, I did not eat the grits or the butter. :)
So jealous, I love New Orleans! I could go for an Iced Coffee & Beignets from Cafe du Monde right about now.
Sarah- that was Sunday night and they were delicious!
